Ingredients
Arua rice- 1 kg
Cheese-200 gm
Molasses-250 gm
Ghee-100 gm
Coconut- 1 pc
Cardamom-4 pcs
Method
Break and scrap the coconut.
Make a red fry of scrapped coconut, sugar, cheese and cardamom powder.
Powder the rice.
Boil the rice powder with 1 glass of water.
Dough the rice powder after the molasses water boils.
Press it properly after it is cold.
Make 3 parts of the pressed part and 2 parts of the pura.
Put it in an over by sprinkling ghee on the top and placing a banana leaf over it.
Make 2 parts, one for the dough and the other for the pura.
Press the other half keeping the pura part and press the doughed part too.
Cover it with a banana leaf.
Bake it in the oven after sometime.
Cut it into pieces.

Somp-1 teaspoonful

Elaichi-2 pcs
Bay leaves-4 pcs
Salt-according to taste
Method
Break the coconut.
Scrap one half and slice the other.
Powder the arua rice.
Add 2 glasses of water to molasses and heat it.
Add salt, mahuri, bay leaves and elaichi in this molasses.
After they boil, add the rice powder and dough it for cakes.
Before doughing, add scrapped coconut and coconut slices in it.
Add and stir ghee properly.
Keep them all separately in other vessels.
Cover them with banana leaves and give it a faint heat.
Bring it down after an hour. |
